Terms of use
1. What Mascotly is
Mascotly is an all-in-one platform for taking care of your pets: identification with QR/NFC tags and a public page, lost-pet alerts and Radar, health history, vaccines and medication with reminders, food and ration estimates, clinical documents, an AI assistant, sharing a pet with family or caregivers, a vet summary and printable flyers.
By creating an account or using the app you accept these terms and the Privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use Mascotly.
2. Who can use it, and your account
You must be 18 or older and legally able to accept these terms. Each account is personal: do not share or transfer it.
Provide truthful information and keep it up to date, especially contact details. You are responsible for the security of your access and for what happens in your account.
3. For animals only
Mascotly exists solely to register, care for and identify companion animals. Using the service, the tags, QR/NFC codes, alerts, messages, location or the assistant for any other purpose is strictly prohibited. In particular, it is prohibited to:
• Track, monitor, locate, control or identify people (including minors, relatives, partners, employees or third parties), or register a person as if they were a pet.
• Harass, threaten, extort or contact anyone abusively, or use other people’s data for anything other than reuniting an animal with its owner.
• Commercial purposes without written authorization: selling or advertising animals, commercial breeding, promotions, spam, reselling or mass-collecting data.
• Unlawful activities involving animals: cruelty, trafficking, protected wildlife, fighting or any practice that violates animal-protection law.
• Fraud: reporting an animal as lost when it is not, faking finds to collect rewards, impersonating an owner or anyone else.
• Uploading content that is not about your animal: photos or text of unrelated people, nudity, violence, hate, illegal material or anything that infringes third-party rights.
• Attempting to breach security, scraping data, reverse-engineering, abusing the AI assistant or messaging features, or using tags on objects or people.
If we detect or suspect use outside this purpose, we may suspend or delete the account and its content without notice, block pages or tags, and cooperate with authorities where the law requires.
4. Tags, public page and lost alerts
Tags and alerts help identify and find your pet, but they do not guarantee that it will be found.
Your public page shows only what you enable. Someone who finds your pet can write to you from the page; you decide whether and how to reply. Always verify who contacts you, never hand over money or sensitive data to strangers and arrange hand-overs in safe places. Mascotly does not take part in hand-overs or rewards and does not guarantee the identity or intentions of anyone who writes.

5. Health, reminders, food and the AI assistant
Mascotly is not a veterinary service and does not replace a professional. Health information is what you record; the AI assistant offers informational support, can be wrong and does not diagnose or prescribe. Always review and confirm what will be saved. In an emergency, see a veterinarian immediately.
Reminders (vaccines, medication, food) and notifications are an aid: they can fail or be delayed because of your device, your connection or third parties. Do not rely on them alone for your animal’s health. Estimates of when the food runs out are approximate.
6. Family and co-caregivers
You can share a pet with other people, with view-only or view-and-log permission. You are responsible for whom you invite and for revoking access when appropriate. Anyone given access must use it only to care for the animal, under these terms.
7. Your content
Your data, photos and documents remain yours. You give us a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to store, process and display them only to provide the service (for example, your public page according to your settings). You state that you have the right to upload what you upload. We may remove content that breaks these terms.
8. Personal data
We process your data under the Privacy policy, Law 1581 of 2012 (Colombia), the LGPD (Brazil) and applicable rules. You can delete your account and data from the app (Profile → Delete my account) or on this page.
9. Availability and changes
Mascotly is free today. If paid features are added in the future, we will tell you first and nothing will be charged without your acceptance. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features; we will make reasonable efforts to notify you of relevant changes. The service is provided “as is” and may have interruptions.
10. Intellectual property
The Mascotly brand, software and designs belong to their owners. We grant you a personal, limited, revocable license to use the app under these terms; you may not copy it, resell it or create derivative works.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mascotly is not liable for the loss, harm, injury or death of an animal, for acts or omissions of third parties (including people who get in touch through an alert), for failures of notifications or reminders, for incorrect information recorded by users or generated by AI, or for indirect damages. This does not limit rights that the law does not allow to be limited, including consumer rights.
12. Suspension and termination
You can stop using Mascotly and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, put people or animals at risk, or are used for purposes other than animal care.
13. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Colombia, without prejudice to the rights your country of residence gives you as a consumer.
